FAQ
Is the wedding actually concert themed?
Yes! We met after a concert, and we started dating after a concert. Music is a core part of our story and we are excited to share that with you! We'd love your help: Dress to impress, but don't get stuck in 'traditional' wedding attire. We'd love to see statement pieces that you've been dying to wear. See 'Attire' for inspiration pictures and more details about the dress code.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! There will be mixed drinks, beer, alcoholic slushies, and a selection of wine. NA options will also be available.
What time should I be there?
Doors are at 5pm, and the ceremony is at 6pm. We will be starting promptly at 6pm so please don't be late. The bar will be open before the ceremony, so get there early and give yourself enough time to get settled and get a drink.
What is parking like?
The immediate area around the venue is two hour parking until 10pm. For those who are able to walk, there is free street parking two blocks east on Morrison with no time restrictions. For those looking for ADA parking or surface lots in the area please see the 'parking' page.
Will there be food?
Of course! There will not be a formal plated dinner, but there will be plenty of food. We will be providing heavy appetizers from our wonderful caterer, Artemis Foods. Our menu includes a mac and cheese bar, mini grilled cheese + tomato soup shooters, potstickers, mini chicken and waffles, and more. For those who are staying late, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a street hotdog on your way out the door.
Okay, but seriously, what should I wear?
Cocktail attire + elevated concert = mini/knee and midi cocktail dress, statement blazers, pants suits, jumpsuits. Don't scare away from sparkle, leather, fringe, or a killer boot. Lean towards luxe fabrics like silk, crepe, satins). Bonus points for bold colors or chic tailoring. Please avoid sundresses, linen, or sandals. See inspiration photos on the 'Attire' page.
I've never been to a gay wedding and I am scared to admit that I don't know what to expect.
You probably aren't alone. It's mostly the same, but you will have more fun and the entertainment is top notch.
Where should I stay in Portland?
Violet Suites PDX is the closest hotel to the venue (0.3mi). Next closest is Hotel Grand Stark (0.4mi) followed by the Jupiter Hotel (0.5mi). All are very unique just like Portland. If you are looking for something a bit more basic you'll end up a little further from the venue, but downtown PDX is just across the river with the classic roster of hotels. We are not doing a hotel room block, so this is a great chance to try something new or stay with a friend in town that you haven't seen in awhile. There are also plenty of airbnbs in the area.
Are kids invited?
No. Our venue is a bar, and it is not setup for children. Please enjoy a night out and do not bring your children.
